1、由于英语基础太差，我选择新概念第二册起，方式就是一天一课背诵，背到滚瓜烂熟为止，一共用了三个月，然后接着第三册，又用了三个月，也就是二三册我一共花了六个月背了个滚瓜烂熟，中间还不时的听听背过的课文，和国际广播电台英语节目，结束后，除了看了一下模拟试卷的样板（没做过）和看了看个别自考教材的翻译外没有其他任何的准备，甚至连教材都没买一本，就陆续通过了水一，水二，综合英语一，二，阅读一，二，写作，后来我又在新东方报了第四册，同样采取熟背的方式，通过了高级英语，英语翻译。2、经过一年左右新概念的背与学（期间几乎没有学过任何英语自考的书），通过了英语自考的大部分课程，并且都是在70以上，其中写作还得了83分，后期我仍然只反复复习新概念，只是英语概论，欧洲文化入门，英美文学，词汇和语法等以教材为主，也很顺利的通过了自考，去年年11月能顺利的拿到本科毕业证，3、现在我正在准备考中国人民大学法律硕士，由于当初自考学习英语时不是为了考试而学习，而是在英语水平上下了工夫，现在基本上不要特别准备英语了，只要再反复背新概念和做模拟试题，并且我今年托福也考了710分，4、这确实是我自己的亲身体验，不看指定课本通过新概念两年多的时间通过自考英语专，本当初就连自己也不敢相信，记得新东方的老师给我说了一句这样的话，“四六级，托福等都有有指定教材，别为了考试而学英语，英语水平提高后可以应付很多的考试”，并且他也给我讲了一个北大的学生背诵新概念托付打满分的故事（估计你们很多人也听过），所以我坚持了下来。5、但要注意的是，同样学新概念，很多人的效果完全不一样，背诵也是如此，要注意经常反过来复习，并且要大声背诵，不能默诵，直到现在，我能把第二册至第四册的没一篇课文全背下来，而英语自考的很多教材我连现在都没见过，6、我现在把自己的经验说出来并不是要大家都这么学，它虽然只要两年多就能通过所有的课程，也有很多英语自考教材都不需要买，但并不轻松，每天要保证五个小时的学习时间，并且大部分时间是在大声朗读，而不能像别的专业那样看书，我不赞成看英语，不管懂不懂，就三个字、大声读！
